About Us

This statement is not meant to alienate anyone. Sanctuary Gaming welcomes everyone! This statement is being made to clear up any possible confusion and past misunderstandings.  Sanctuary Gaming is not a religious group nor does it prescribe to or promote any kind of religion or belief in a higher power.  Our doors are open to all regardless of their beliefs!

“Sanctuary Gaming” contains the word “sanctuary”.  While the word “sanctuary” has religious connotations, that is not its intended usage at SanctuaryGaming.org.  “Sanctuary” has a much broader definition.  It is from this broader definition that Sanctuary Gaming draws the meaning of the word “sanctuary”.  It means: sacred place (not necessarily religious); a place of safety, refuge, rest  and protection; immunity from law; a place where you can feel at peace; state of being protected; asylum; sheltered; immunity afforded by refuge in such a place…  There are many kinds of sanctuaries.

This is a sanctuary for humans, specifically PC gaming humans.  Nothing divides us in sanctuary.  We are all just humans playing some PC games.  One is not any more special or unique than another.  This is not a place for snowflakes.  It is becoming harder to just be ourselves among other humans these days.  Humans make mistakes, a lot of them.  At some point it seems we have all forgotten how to forgive each other.  Everyone needs forgiveness sometime.   Humans are far from perfect.

Now, more than ever, in our increasingly overly sensitive “woke” era of Social Justice Warriors, Karen's, and Cancel Culture out of control, humans need sanctuary.  Especially the gamers!  If you play PC games and just want a place to relax and be a human among other humans without fear of reprimand for just being a human being Sanctuary Gaming is that place.

We play many other popular games off and on as well. Here are some of them:

About Flux Reversal, the Founder

I have been playing PC games for 20 years.  My first PC game was MechWarrior4 Vengeance.  MW4 had a popular league supporting the game.  So, with my first PC game ever I immediately got involved with competitive league play.  I became a competitive FPS PC gamer.

In pursuing my lust for competitive play, against gamers like myself online, I eventually surrounded myself with other like minded individuals.  I helped create and administered a competitive PC gaming group. We aspired to become involved professionally in e-sports.  After some time, prior to the release of Overwatch competitive and Overwatch League,  that group had its final hurrah at one of the first ever Overwatch competitions.

While I still crave serious competitive play, I do have outlets for that.  Currently I play a lot of Rust accompanied by a rotation of casual games.  Despite my strong competitive FPS background I am recently attracted to directional combat and more casual MMO/RPG type games.

I have been in many gaming groups.  I have thrown my support behind individuals in their efforts to establish and run gaming groups. I keep leaving my own ambitions, to let them stagnate in my pursuit of like-minded individuals to create something with.  All of them have fallen short of what I think a good gaming group can be.

I am done jumping around.  I am done experimenting.  While I do venture out to other communities occasionally the outcome is always the same, and even predictable at this point. Unless persuaded with threat of wellbeing or phat stacks of cash its Sanctuary Gaming for life.
